Since the mid-1980s, the Dorothy Knost scholarship committee has been awarding worthy music majors thousands of dollars. Last year the committee awarded 12 students a total of $34,000. This year, the committee will have $38,200 available to award.
Graduates from a Scioto County, Ohio, or Greenup County, Kentucky high school who are or planning to pursue a Bachelor’s in Music are encouraged to apply. The online application for this scholarship is included in the general scholarship application. The application can be found online at www.sciotofoundation.org . Additional music scholarship opportunites are included in this application.
Students pursuing a post-secondary education can apply for this scholarship, as well as 70+ scholarships through the Scioto Foundation’s general scholarship application. This application is due online on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 @ 5 PM.
