Grant Guidelines and Criteria
The Scioto Foundation invites you to complete a grant application for its Scioto 365 program. Our grant application is located at www.sciotofoundation.org.
Scioto 365
Scioto 365 is a member-funded impact grant-making program which asks members to donate $365 a year, of which 50% goes into endowments for future awards, and 50% goes into grants to be awarded toward current community projects. All citizens are welcome to apply for grants that will go toward projects to further the goals of the Scioto 365 initiative, and Scioto 365 members get to vote on which grants will make the biggest community impact.
Theme: “Pathways to Purpose: Engaging Youth.”
The Scioto 365 Leadership Committee focused upon the need to award grants that show collaboration among nonprofit organizations working with children. Grant applications should focus upon assisting and empowering at-risk children.
Eligible grants may be for direct support or for nonprofit capacity that provides at-risk youth with safe, and healthy activities.
Eligible requests include but not limited to:
- After school programming
- Weekend mentoring programs
- Summer youth programs
That provide youth with the following:
- Career counseling
- Educational opportunities
- Health snacks, and nutrition
- Leadership development
- Resources from other health, service, or educational providers
The Foundation will consider all submissions; however, projects that emphasize the theme “Pathways to Purpose: Engaging Youth” will be prioritized for awards.
Eligible Applicants
Applicants can be 501(c) (3) nonprofits, faith-based organizations or a local government entity or school district based in the Scioto County.
