Portsmouth was buzzing with excitement as a vibrant transformation started to unfold! Today marked an exciting moment with the ribbon cutting ceremony at Market Square Park. This park will soon be home to a beautiful family friend space, that all can enjoy.
In 2022, Market Square Park was selected by the Scioto Foundation Board of Governors to receive the Rethinking Downtown Portsmouth Grant Initiative for $65,000 dollars.
Nonprofits were eligible for this initiative by submitting grant applications that address concepts outlined in the “Elevate Portsmouth Master Plan” or the “City of Portsmouth Comprehensive Housing Market Study”.
