Last Fall the Scioto Foundation Board of Governors awarded $12,000 dollars to the St. Francis Catholic Outreach & Charitable Giving organization to purchase food for distribution to Scioto County residents. The St. Francis Food Pantry projects that it will serve 3,600 households (10,000 individuals) for a total of 90,000 meals for the year 2023. Food will be distributed through bi-monthly scheduled food pantry distributions, as well as emergency assistance distribution.
The Scioto Foundation annually awards grants on a quarterly basis in categories of the arts, education, community development, social services, healthcare and others. Application deadlines are March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31.
